Giving back
An open letter from Louie, who builds Anythings
Hey — I'm Louie. I build Anythings myself, and until recently, every dollar it made went straight back into keeping it running: servers, App Store fees, the occasional coffee that kept me up finishing a feature.
That's still mostly true. But somewhere between reading through your feedback and watching people describe, in their own words, what it's meant to finally have a to-do list that works with their head instead of against it, keeping 100% of what this app makes stopped feeling like the right call.
So here's the commitment: on the last day of every month, Vollo Ventures LLC — the company that owns Anythings, which is really just me — donates 10% of that month's net revenue to a nonprofit. A different one every month.
Net means after Apple's, Stripe's, and RevenueCat's cut — the fees taken by the platforms that move the money before it ever reaches us. It's not net of what we spend to run the business — hosting, the AI behind Anythings, email, tools, keeping an app on the App Store. Those come out of the other 90%, same as any company's costs do. The distinction is simple: money we never actually touch, versus money we touch and then choose to spend. Not a marketing line item, not a one-time moment tied to a launch post. It comes out of what the app actually made that month, whether that number is small — it still is — or someday isn't.
I'm not going to publish the exact dollar figure here every month. Early on, that number will look exactly like what it is: modest. I don't want the story to be "look how little" or, eventually, "look how much" — I want it to be that it happened, every month, without fail. What I will publish is every organization we give to, permanently, so anyone can hold this to account for as long as Anythings exists.
If there's a cause you think deserves a month, I actually want to hear it — support@anythings.app, or find me in the threads.

ADDA — Attention Deficit Disorder Association
A lot of you told us Anythings finally works with how your brain works, instead of fighting it — and a lot of that came from the ADHD community specifically. ADDA supports adults with ADHD with real resources, community, and research, so it felt like the right place to start.
